Use this strategy to check understanding and for formative assessment. Each student will have a set of cards. The student will put the appropriate card on his/her desk depending on his/her level of understanding. You, the teacher, can visually see where your class is with concepts and skills.
NOTE: The BLUE card is used when a student feels confident to teach his/her peer-very powerful!
